Adam completed his bachelor’s degree in “Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science” with distinction at the Technological University Dublin (Ireland) in 2019. His bachelor thesis covered the synthesis and characterization of novel anticancer-targeted inorganic complexes, which he conducted under the supervision of PI Dr Pauraic McCarron. Later that year, Adam started his master’s studies in chemistry at the University of Vienna (Austria) with a keen interest in organic synthesis and catalysis. In the course of several internships, Adam gained experience in the fields of metalorganic and bioorganic synthesis, NMR analysis, and catalyst design. For his master’s thesis, he joined the Dumele group in September 2022. His research focuses on C–H functionalization for the preparation of organic macrocycles.
