Carl Pithan
Carl studied Chemistry at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (RWTH) where he received his BSc degree in 2022. After completing research internships with the Herres-Pawlis, Pich and Patureau groups at RWTH Aachen, he received his MSc degree in 2025 with Prof. Frédéric Patureau on a study related to the properties of atropoisomers. During his master studies Carl worked as a student research assistant at Forschungszentrum Jülich in the Institute of Electrochemical Process Engineering on alkaline electrolysis. After his graduation he completed a research internship at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, where he worked on the fabrication of Li-batteries with Prof. Chia-Chen Li. He joined the Dumele group for his PhD studies in July 2026.
