Jan Brahm
Jan Brahm studied chemistry at the University of Konstanz, where he received his bachelors and masters degree. In his bachelor thesis in the group of Prof. Rainer Winter he studied the supramolecular and electrochemical properties of ferrocene containing surfactants. During his master thesis in the group of Prof. Stefan Mecking he synthesized model polymers and investigated their degradability. After graduation he worked as a chemist in the Startup ChemUP where he was part of the development team of a new recycling process for polyethylenes. At his last stop he worked as a chemist at the chemical vendor Chemodex AG where he synthesized fluorescent labels. In October 2026 he joined the Dumele group for his PhD.
