Palash completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata under the supervision of Prof. Subhajit Bandyopadhyay on the broad area of photoresponsive stable organic radicals. Before that, he completed his MSc from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Since July 2025, he has joined University of Cologne for his post-doctoral studies with Prof. Oliver Dumele. His current research involves the synthesis of helical chiral chromophores for photomagnetic switches.
