Robin got his bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Freiburg, Germany. During his master studies, he completed a five months internship in the group of Malika Jeffries-El at Boston University, USA. Back in Freiburg, he joined the group of Birgit Esser for his master thesis. He then continued his research as a PhD candidate in the Esser group, which he followed to Ulm University, where they moved in 2022. After completing his PhD thesis in 2024, he joined the DumeleLAB in April 2024 as a post-doctoral researcher.
His research interests are based around organic polymers for energy storage systems in organic batteries and photo-rechargeable batteries.
